Bariatric surgery is a tool to help people achieve sustained weight loss. After surgery, patients are faced with a new and unfamiliar set of daily issues relating to diet, exercise, relationships and other aspects of their life — and they may want help and support from other bariatric patients to address these challenges.
The Bariatric Support Group is for patients, family members, and friends of those who have undergone bariatric surgery or who are seriously considering a gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, or duodenal switch.
Normally, the Bariatric Support Group is held on the first Monday of each month at Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in the Alagia Auditorium. Currently, due to Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, Support Groups are provided virtually on Facebook; see instructions and link to join (file attached below).
